Abstract:

 For the problem of large metal deformation, the analysis effect of traditional finite element method is poor, and the mesh distortion is easy to occur during the analysis process. Therefore, the isothermal forging process of magnesium alloy was simulated and analyzed based on meshless method. Using the analysis function of meshless method in LS-DYNA software, the isothermal forging process of magnesium alloy forgings was simulated and analyzed, and the isothermal forging results of magnesium alloy at 350, 400 and 450 ℃ were compared to obtain a better isothermal forging temperature of 450 ℃ for magnesium alloy through analyzing the forming equivalvant stress nephogram. The results show that using meshless method to analyze the large deformation in metal forming can better solve the problem of mesh distortion generated during the analysis process for finite element method.
