Abstract:

 Aiming at the problem that the CNC incremental forming trajectory with traditional forming tool moving along one direction causes the material to flow along one direction easily so as to make the formed sheet break, a CNC incremental forming trajectory based on the reciprocating movement of the forming tool was proposed, and the CNC incremental forming trajectories with the forming tool moving along one direction and reciprocating movement were simulated by finite element analysis software ANSYS. The results show that the average and the maximum Z direction deviation values of sheet after forming based on the forming tool moving along one direction and reciprocating movement are 0.1917, 0.3947 and 0.1437, 0.3412 mm, respectively, and the latter forming trajectory has a higher profile accuracy after the sheet is formed. In addition, compared with the former, the inner material flow amount of the formed part under the latter trajectory is smaller, and the formed part is less likely to be broken. Finally, the maximum stresses of the sheet after forming under the former and latter trajectories are 79.6 and 61.4 Pa, respectively. Thus, compared with the former forming trajectory, the latter forming trajectory can reduce the stress during the sheet forming process.
