Abstract:

 For the problems of cracking and wrinkling in the corner area of a certain automobile A-pillar inner plate, taking  drawbead coefficient, sheet size, friction coefficient and blank holder force as the optimization variables and no cracking and no wrinkling as the optimization objectives, the optimization design of stamping process parameters was conducted analyzed with the help of Autoform-Sigma module, and this module adopted the method of combining quality management and statistical theory to find the ideal simulation results without cracking and wrinkling defects and the optimal combination of process parameters with the drawbead coefficient in the corner of 0.28, the sheet size offset of -4 mm, the blank holder force of 780 kN and the friction coefficient of 0.13 finally after 64 iterations. Furthermore, the production experiment was carried out according to the optimal stamping process parameters, and the stamping part was in good condition without cracking and wrinkling defects, which was consistent with the numerical simulation results. Thus, the feasibility of this method was verified, and a lot of time and cost were saved.
