Abstract:

In order to study the influence of forming sequence for difficult forming surfaces and easy forming surfaces on the forming quality in the CNC incremental forming with multi-directional adjustment of sheet posture, for the sheet part model containing the difficult and easy forming surfaces, two forming sequences of easy-before-difficult and difficult-before-easy were established, and the influences of two forming sequences for easy-before-difficult and difficult-before-easy on the profile dimension accuracy and sheet thickness distribution of formed part were compared and analyzed by the numerical simulation and forming experiments. The results of numerical simulation and forming experiments show that the profile dimension deviation distributions of parts obtained by the two forming sequences tends to be consistent, but the parts formed by the forming sequence of difficult-before-easy have better profile fitting degree and higher profile dimension precision. However, in the aspect of thickness distribution, there is little difference between the formed parts obtained by the two forming sequences, which indicates that the forming sequence has little influence on the thickness.
