Title:Optimization on die face of engine compartment cover for 6016-T4P aluminum alloy based on Dynaform

Abstract:

 Based on software Dynaform 5.9, the numerical simulation on the whole process of stamping and the optimization on the die face structure parameters for the engine compartment cover of 6016-T4P aluminum alloy were conducted. And the influences of die corner radius, punch corner radius, draft angle, trimming lengthening and die height on the stamping of engine compartment cover were studied by designing the orthogonal test with five factors and four levels. On the basis of the optimum structure parameter combination of orthogonal test, the variation trend of springback amount with the compensation factor was studied by the die face compensation technique. The simulation results show that the draft angle  has a great influence on the maximum thinning rate, the die corner radius has a great influence on the maximum principal strain, and the trimming lengthening has a great influence on the springback amount. When the compensation factor is 1.0, the effect of springback compensation is the best. After the forming test, a qualified product was obtained to verify the correctness of simulation.
