Abstract:

 

 
During deep drawing, defects such as instability wrinkling in flange, uneven distribution in wall thickness, cracking in bottom and springback often occur, which are especially evident for irregular complex 3D parts. For the instrument protecting part of complex wedge-shaped deep cavity at the exposed tail section of an aircraft fuselage, the finite element model was established by simulated software PAMSTAMP, and the defects of wrinkle and cracking in deep drawing of irregular deep cavity parts with flat straight faces were simulated numerically. Then, the influence of wedge-shaped hollow structure on material flow during deep drawing was researched, and the parameters of blank, die structure and blank-holder force were optimized, which were verified by experiment. The results show that the optimized parameters realize the accurate deep drawing of ultimate unfolding blank and solve the problems of complex, long cycle, serious wrinkle and poor surface quality for drop forming process.
