Abstract:

For a brand automobile roof cover, its forming process was analyzed, and its forming process was simulated by software AutoForm. Then, the forming limit diagram and failure form were obtained, and some basic drawing process parameters such as rolling angle and blank holder force of billet were determined to reduce the risk of cracking and wrinkling defects in parts during stamping production. Furthermore, the assembly drawing of drawing die was drawn by 3D drawing software UG and 2D drawing software CAD, and the interference states between the parts of the die were checked to ensure proper coordination among the parts. The purpose of reducing the cost of die making and shortening the cycle of die manufacturing was achieved. Finally, the die design technology could be perfected and optimized by finite element simulation technology. Based on the simulation and design results, the drawing die was prepared, and the automobile roof cover meeting the requirements of drawings was successfully produced.
