Abstract:

For the floor reinforcing plate for automobile, its formability was analyzed, and the drawing process was simulated by the finite element analysis software AUTOFORM. By adjusting process parameters, it is found that it has an effect on the forming results, and the defects such as wrinkling, cracking and insufficient forming existed in the sheet metal forming process can be predicted. By adjusting the shape of blank from rectangle to shape floow-up, the feeding resistance is reduced, and the flow material is even to improve the formability significantly. When the blank holder force is adjusted within the range of 500 to 1100 kN, a reliable forming area is up to 88.26% to meet the forming requirements of parts. Finally, through the real stamping test, the obtained parts were measured to verify the accuracy of the simulation results, and a large number of parts were produced to save the cost and time of the test.
