Abstract:

A process for the structural features of Cpillar inner panel was designed, and a finite element model of drawing process for the upper Cpillar inner panel was established by FE software Autoform. Then, the first drawing numerical analysis was carried out, and the defects of cracking and wrinkling in part appeared. Based on the numerical analysis results combining with the flow uniformity theory, drawbeads arrangement and drawing coefficient were optimized for multiple times, and the quantitative variation among blank holder force, thickening and thinning ratio was obtained. During blank holder force of 300-600 kN, the maximum thickening ratio decreased with the increasing of blank holder force, and the maximum thinning ratio increased with the increasing of blank holder force. The optimal blank holder was chosen as 520 kN. Final numerical analysis results show that optimized drawing parameters can eliminate defects like cracking and wrinkling in the part forming. After experimental test, the results are in good agreement with that of optimized numerical analysis, of which the maximum thinning ratio difference is only 0.5%.
