Abstract:

It was studied the automobile wheel side inner plate in forming process, and the simulation model was built by Autoform software to analyze the forming process. Then, the influences of process parameters on the forming performance of automobile wheel side inner plate were analyzed, and the defects such as wrinkling, tension cracking and forming defects were predicted during the sheet metal forming. Therefore, the problems of wrinkling and cracking were solved with the blank holder force increasing from 300 kN to 800 kN, and the drawbead coefficient decreasing from 0.6 to 0.5 and other settings, and the surface qualities of parts were controlled within the qualified requirements. Furthermore, based on the simulation, the actual test was conducted, and the parts and simulation results were basically the same to verify the accuracy of the simulation results. In mass production of parts,the cost and time of die tryout were reduced significantly by using the optimized method.
