Title:Radial displacement of mass point without wrinkle for one-step forming conical part

Abstract:

Since wrinkling is the main defect during the one-step forming process of conical part, the forming characteristics of conical parts were analyzed, and the corresponding forming mechanism was discussed. Meanwhile, the maximum displacement points of mass on the cone wall were defined as the key point without wrinkling. In consideration of material properties and geometric conditions, the calculated conditions of the radial displacement for the key point without wrinkle during the one-step forming limit of conical part were obtained. Then, the conical parts forming experiments based on three materials were verified by the grid strain tester, and experiments values of different relative cone top diameter were given. Compared the calculated values with experimental values, the errors were calculated, and the applicability was preliminary determined. Finally, the revised values and the revised error were put forward, and the final results and range of application were carried out.
