Abstract:
Contour forming trajectory is the main way of single point incremental forming for sheet metal. For the problems of local sag, rupture, whole distortion and uneven thickness distribution produced by tool head extrusion leading to the concentrated tool head landing points in sheet metal incremental forming, it is proposed that the trajectory generation of single point incremental forming for sheet metal combining mix processing strategy in the contour milling and bevel angle feeding type along the sheet metal based on Unigraphics NX10.0(UG 10.0). Abaqus finite element numerical simulation and experimental analysis show that the problems of local sag, local surface depressions or corrugations as well as overall distortion and uneven thickness distribution are both avoided by the above forming method.
