Abstract:

For the difficulty of one upsetting extrusion for blind hole shaft parts with flange,the upsetting extrusion process was improved many times by combining with the numerical simulation analysis, and two times upsetting extrusion process was confirmed. Then, the improved forming process of part was optimized by the orthogonal experiment, and the optimal process scheme was determined by considering folding angle, die load and stress distribution and other factors. The results show that the folding angle at the corner of flange can be reduced effectively by the forming process of extrusion hole-one times upsetting of flange-two times upsetting of flange, and the risk of cracking can also be decreased. Therefore, the workpiece quality is excellent with the press working speed of 2 mm·s-1, die fillet R1=5 mm, die fillet R2=2.5 mm and friction coefficient of 0.05. Finally, the parts of blind hole shaft with flange are obtained with the good surface quality in the actual production.
