Abstract:

For tailor-welded blanks of high strength steel, the forming process of front rail part for an automobile was designed based on Dynaform software and optimized based on simulation results. The simulation results of springback with and without considering deformation accumulation of every procedure were contrasted. Taking a consideration of deformation accumulation of every procedure can improve the simulation accuracy of springback, and the unloading springback results of every procedure was compensated. The compensated results were applied to practical production, and parts were scanned by the White-light scanner to get the new model. Then, the springback results were obtained by comparing the new model and the original model. It is found that there are positive bias on both sides of straight wall and rounded corners, and the springback results of both sides of parts are inconsistent. The springback obtained by the new model was compensated again to adjust the shaping die, and the parts meeting the needs of engineering were gained finally.
