Abstract:

 Through the analysis on the stamping process of automobile clamp, the 21-position nesting scheme including seven-flanging position and one-bending position (the head of part was bent four times) was determined. The overall structure of progressive die for automobile clamp was introduced, and the structural design of the main parts were carried out. Then, the second, the third and the fourth bending processes were shown in turns. Thus, the problem of bending springback was overcome by the locally-thinning process on R angle parts. The analysis results show that the nesting of 20° oblique line for unilateral carrier can greatly improve material utilization. Test results show that the 21-position progressive die structure proposed for the parts is reasonable. Furthermore, it can ensure the stability of the R angle bending forming of the head, and meet the needs of mass production of parts.
