Abstract:
The structure characteristics of the middle-flat part were analyzed and two layout designs were made. According to the advantages and disadvantages of the two design solutions, the better one was chosen and the progressive die of middle-flat was designed. The methods of side edge to initial positioning, pilot to precise positioning and supporting block for location to end positioning were used. With these methods, the precision was guaranteed and material utilization rate was increased. In order to form support claw better, the method of first normal stretch, second opposite stretch and then incision was adopted. The die was manufactured, assembled and tested. The final result shows that the precision of the part is met perfectly, and the production efficiency is enhanced. The press speed achieves 80 times per minute, and it is ten times than single process of  the press by hand.
