Abstract:

In order to get on good comprehensive properties for a double-tube with barrier ribs of aluminum extrusion, a whole extrusion forming process was simulated firstly, in which defects such as folding, squeezing pressure and insufficiency local strength were found. Based on the above defects, the forming process was improved, and the optimized extrusion solution was ultimately determined as the binocular-shaped part with extrusion skin barrier ribs in the middle and at the end face of the barrier ribs with a teardrop-shaped circular arc. Further, the modified process was analyzed by simulation. The results show that the fillet affects the fold greatly by increasing the fillet to reduce the flow resistance towards rib and improve the flow state of the material, and then the optimal transition radius is obtained. Finally, the experimental verification was carried out by the modified die, and the good quality extrusion part was obtained.
