Abstract:

IMV knuckle has the structure of “hole-plate-fork-arm”, including five branches of different lengths and a long arm. In the actual production, long forks prone to collapse angle at the end, and the material utilization rate is low. For the above problems, the resistance wall structure was designed optimally. In order to reduce the forming load, die wear and to improve the filling capability, the orthogonal experiment was established. Then the optimum structural parameters of resistance wall was ultimately determined, namely, the two metope corner fillet of 25 mm, the resistance wall height of 20mm, the resistance wall slope of 15° and the resistance wall clearance of 3 mm. The resistance wall was pulled into the complex knuckle pre-forging, and four main parameters were optimized. After the optimized orthogonal experiment, the results show that the diameter of the raw materials deduces from Φ100 mm to Φ95 mm, and the material utilization ratio is increased by 3.2%.
