Abstract:
Tensile failure occurs easily in demoulding process of mold core for stereolithography injection mould. The selection of optimization mould core strength was conducted to improve the life of mould core by the standard tensile samples replacing mould core based on optimization mould core strength. The C-UV 6651 high temperature resistant resin was used as prototype material, standard tensile samples with different build orientations and layer thickness were produced and the tensile strength of the samples was analyzed. Finally, it is verified that the samples produced by stereolithography are anisotropic with the best build orientation of the sample parallelling to the stretch orientation and the best layer thickness of 0.05 mm. The experimental result can be applied to manufacture mould, and the mould core built in the direction of demoulding with the layer thickness of 0.05 mm can obtain higher strength and longer life.
