Abstract:

For a series of quality problems caused by vibration in the production of Hanbao cold rolling mill, Handan Iron and Steel Company, its influence on the vibration of cold rolling mill was investigated based on the friction coefficient of the roll gap, and the result that appropriately increasing the friction coefficient of the roll gap could inhibit and eliminate the vibration of cold rolling mill was obtained. The factors affecting the friction coefficient of the roll gap were studied through experiments. The results show that the cause of biting slip, which leads to vibration, is mainly the too small friction coefficient without the pressure peak. The roll and strip surface roughness can be transferred with each other along the rolling direction,but the change of roughness in the transverse direction is inconspicuous. The strip surface roughness in the rolling direction increases with the increase of reduction ratio. The forward slip area under dry condition is higher than that under lubricated condition.
