Abstract:

As the key of hydraulic automatic transmission (AT), transmission external hub has the characteristics of complex shape, high dimensional precision and extreme difficulty in manufacturing. The power spinning process of external hub profile was simulated by the finite element simulation software-Deform.  The velocity field and strain field generated during the power spinning forming were analyzed, and the fold forming principle of external hub profile was elaborated. Researches show that the shear strain is the main strain during the tooth forming, and the shaping process is added to solve the warping in one side of the parts section after forming. Power spinning process can provide technology reference for practical external hub profile production.
