Abstract:

The accuracy of the single-point incremental forming (SPIF) is an important issue in the industry. At present its accuracy can only reach ±3 mm, while the practical demand is ±0.2 mm. Therefore, how to improve the forming accuracy is an important project to research. Firstly, the variation of the springback with the change of the forming angle was obtained by the experiment. Then, the specimens under different forming angles were compensated by different negative compensation values, and the springback under the corresponding condition was obtained. Finally,the regularity of springback with the change of the compensation values was found and the relationship equation was obtained by the principle of least squares method. The research results show that as long as the springback under different forming angles is predicted according to the compensation values before processing,the result whether specimens will meet the requirements or not can be forecasted.
