Abstract:

The warm (hot) fine forging and cold sizing technology was proposed to manufacture automobile clutch disk-hub with special-tooth flange. The cold sizing process was numerically simulated by FEM software Deform. The influences of concave angle α and cold sizing amount δ on the maximum forming load, the maximum damage value, the maximum radial springback and the axial warp angle of tooth in cold sizing process for clutch disk-hub were analyzed. The results of simulation analysis show that when the concave angle is 80°and sizing amount δ is 0.3 mm, the maximal forging load, the maximal springback and the maximal damage value can be minimal by ensuring the samller value of axial warp angle. Tested by experiment, the good quality disc-hub can be produced by the composite technology of warm forging and cold sizing.
