Abstract:

The FFAW (Flanging Forming Analysis Wizard) system of flanging and motion simulation of automobile panel based on NX was developed. The automatic discrete facet technology of die surface was applied, and die assembly of flanging simulation of automobile panel in NX modeling environment was realized to avoid slow saving and updating and the complex switching process in NX assembly environment. With the discrete facet body, flanging simulation was applied to solve the problems of assembly and interference in the flanging process tools. Technological parameters such as stamping direction of flanging, moving direction of the wedge, driving angle and flange stroke were considered comprehensively in this system. The flanging process in real-time stamping environment was displayed and the die movement was checked by the function of assembly position, distance measurement and animation display. Finally, a particular example of auto parts was given to illustrate the effectiveness and usefulness of this system.
