Abstract:
The formability of rectangular box parts with non-rotationally symmetric characteristic is affected by many factors. The effect of blank holder force is particularly evident, and it is easy to control and adjust. The deep drawing formability of rectangular box parts was studied by numerical simulation under conditions of variable blank holder force (VBHF) and constant blank holder force respectively, and the corresponding numerical simulation results were obtained. The actual deep drawing experiments with load VBHF were compared with the results of numerical simulation. Studies show that loading the incremental type and ∧ type of VBHF can control the flow of metal material effectively, and the formability of sheet metal is improved. The changing trend of wall thickness in the experiment is the same as that of numerical simulation. Due to a small error, the reliability of numerical simulation is verified.
