Abstract:
The spinning process of thin-walled C250 maraging steel shell with 300 mm outside diameter and three outer steps was investigated. Aiming at the shrinking characteristic of maraging steel after aging treatment, the amount of reduced diameter of spinning shell with 300 mm diameter and 2-3 mm wall thickness was calculated by experiments. Therefore, the amount of reduced diameter of spinning shell after aging treatment which achieves the ultimate designed technical requirements was reserved during spinning. The multi-pass spinning program was determined by C250 maraging steel material properties combining with structural characteristics of parts. The feasibility of forming Ф300 mm high-precision shell with 0.32 mm diameter tolerance and 0.1 mm thickness tolerance was verified under the condition of without intermediate heat treatment and with the total deformation rate of 80%.
