Abstract:
In the rolling process of H-beam, because of the uneven elongation of flange and web, the head tongue shape is emerged. At present, in the actual product process, head tongue shape is too large, so that cutting loss is severe, which leads to great waste. In order to reduce the length of head tongue of H-beam, combined experiment with the actual site of production, the rational finite element model was established to simulate the universal hot rolling deformation process of H-beam. According to the numerical simulation result, the deformation characteristics of head, metal flow situation and origin of head tongue shape were analyzed. Through optimization of the rolling scheme of H-beam, the length of head tongue shape is reduced. Rolling experiment of H-beam was done on the universal mill. By experimental test, the rolling scheme after optimization effectively leads to the shortened length of head tongue, thus, it can reduce the cutting loss and improve the utilize rate of metal.
