Abstract:

 For multi-position progressive stamping process of complex parts, repeatedly die testing and repairing are often needed in the process of die-trail which designed according to experience, and the manufacture period is long and the cost is high. To predict the deformation of the complicated car door rail parts, the finite element numerical simulation for multi-position progressive stamping process including bending-drawing, trimming, sizing, flanging and springback were accomplished by using Dynaform, and the problems of tools movement and multi-process model building were solved well. Finally, the simulation results were compared and analyzed with the experimental data, the results conform well and the maximum relative error of the workpiece thickness is only 2.7%. The results show that the numerical simulation method used and finite element model established have high accuracy.
