Abstract:

 According to the body structure features and technical requirements of 491Q connecting rod used for the studied object, the forging process of connecting rod blank was designed. The forging die design and manufacturing process, including the forging reduction determined by the experiments, accomplishment of hot forging drawings,die structure design and machining process,were introduced. The 3D model of die was established by UGNX and CAD/CAM, the numerical control machining program was written, the tool path was generated and the machining program was obtained after post-processing. The results show that the forging dies of connecting rod are normally used in the producing, by using which the qualified rate of product is high,and the producing requirements of enterprise are met.
