Abstract:

For the complex curvature parts, the values of springback are various according to reference points, and the reference point is difficult to choose precisely. In order to obtain the minimum amount of mould modification, a method of choosing springback reference point was presented. Based on computer simulation and reverse engineering, the values of springback were calculated to get the optimal reference point. That is, the reference point was confirmed by simulation at first, then the surface of stamping part was reconstructed by reverse engineering. The reconstructed surfaces and the designed surfaces were matched by the method of Iterative Closest Point (ICP), and the value of spingback was calculated and analyzed to illuminate whether the choice of reference point was reasonable.The results of other reference points and experiments were compared to validate the feasibility of this method.
