Abstract:

Pressure forming principle of viscous medium of thin-wall part tube-compression which has the characteristics of larger unit variable diameter ratio was introduced. The forming process was analyzed by finite element method (ANSYS/LS-DYNA). The effect of sealing pressure between tube-blank end and viscous medium on the forming process and the law of material flow were analyzed. Thickness reduction can be controlled by optimizing loading modes of end sealing pressure. The effect of initial sealing pressure of sealing ring on end displacement was conducted by experiment. The result shows that on the premise of guarantee the seal, the initial sealing pressure should be as small as possible.
