Abstract:

The limit design and manufacturing technique of important parts with large sizes in the 800 MN close-die forging hydraulic press was described briefly, especially the limit design technology of the “C” shaped plate in frame, the main cylinder and the counter beam of moving crosshead,and the limit manufacture of casting, forging and welding. The maximum stress at the fillet radius of “C” shaped plate was reduced from 456 to 237.1 MPa through the optimization design. The maximum principal stress and the equivalent stress of liquid inlet hole in the main working cylinder were reduced to 192 and 217 MPa respectively by a local optimization design, and the stresses were  decreased by more than 40%. Through joint technical research of the national science and technology major special project group, the key technical problems of limit design and manufacture about important parts with large sizes were successfully resolved.
