Title:Study of quenching-time effect to springback for 22MnB5 high strength steel hot forming process

Abstract:

On the basis of experimental data of mechanical and thermal physical property of  22MnB5 high-strength steel, the numerical simulations of the whole hot stamping process of hot stamping,quenching and springback were made with PAMSTAMP software. According to the simulation parameters, a physical experiment was done and the basic law of quenching-time on springback after hot stampting of 22MnB5 steel was found. Results show that in a particular period of time, as the quenching-time being increased, the springback will be reduced, while the quenching-time continues to be lengthened, the springback value will not be changed significantly, and the best quenching-time is 20 s. The research result provides a scientific basis for the high strength steel plate hot stamping technology research.
