Abstract:

A dished head spinning 3-D numerical simulation was applied using ANSYS software. The causation and the effect on slab shape and size control of warp, elastic recovery and wrinkle were analyzed with practical engineering experience. The results show that the numerical simulation can characterize the condition of the slab reshaping as multi-channel forming, and the rotary pressure distribution rule can provide the basis for spinning machine parameter adjustment. By reasonable technique parameters and forming roller position control and adjusting method, the slab would gain more plastic cumulative within deformation zone, so as to control the head shape and size.
