Abstract:

Springback is one of the difficulties in forming high strength steel sheets. The springback behaviour under different forming speeds, forming loads and slider displacements of servo press was investigated by Vbending experiment and simulation methods. The results show that the amount of springback will decrease obviously with the increase of forming load and the times of multiplebending. But, the effects of forming speed and holding time at the bottom dead center on the springback are very small. Therefore, the springback of forming high strength steel sheets can be controlled by controlling the forming load and bending times.
