Abstract:

When galvanized sheet is formed, its forming performance usually decreases for galvanized coating failure. Using the combined method of cupping test with finite element analysis, the galvanized coating and base sheet were considered as two kinds of materials and put galvanized coating and base sheet in connection with automatic-surface-to-surface-tiebreak,and a series of the forming limitation diagrams of galvanized sheet were set up. The result of research states that the limitation of galvanized sheet compared with bared sheet is less than about 5%10% because the material of galvanized coating is soft and crushed and dropped off resulted from the friction. The result provides theory guidance for the design of process about galvanized sheet.
