Abstract:

According to the different location of recesses in the preform of motorcycle starting gear, two cold extrusion programs were designed to upsetforge flange and inner hole together. With the help of finite element analysis software Deform3D, the forming process of preforming motor starting gear was simulated,and the metal flow laws of the two cases were compared. The simulation results show that preform with recess in the middle is better,the forming force is lower. Technological tests show that test results are in accordance with the simulation.
