Abstract:

In order to reduce the spur gears precision forging load and prevent load to rise sharply in finish forging, on the basis of analysis the distribution of contact stress for upsetting cylinder, mandrel exchange technology was put forward, which the blank always had free space to flow. The die and experiment scheme were designed and  the scheme was further validated by Deform-3D and experiment finally.The results show that the mandrel exchange technology is effective to reduce the load in gears precision forging.
