Abstract:

Extrusion forming process of half shaft bushing was numerically simulated by using finite element analysis software Deform. Cracking causes of half shaft bushing were simulated in the third extrusion process. Based on this, improved technology of extrusion forming with double punches was proposed. Through the comparison of main parameters, including damage, velocity, effective stress and effective strain, the superiority of double-punch extrusion technology was stated. Finally, correctness of finite element simulation results was verified with experimental method. Analyzing the microstructure of good products fabricated by double-punch extrusion, the results show that double-punch extrusion technology is a better technology with practical application value.
