Abstract:

3D surface flexible roll forming technology is a novel sheet metal's flexible forming technology. 3D surface flexible roll forming technology was introduced briefly. Saddle part was taken for example, its finite element model was founded by general finite element program, the impact of its forming process by sheet with the same material and different thickness was researched through the method of numerical simulation, the result was gained that under the same giving quantity, the thicker of the sheet, the better of the forming effect. Experiment validated the result. The simulation result has a certain instruction function for deciding the forming process and obtaining the best result under some parameters to pressing the plate of certain thickness.
