Abstract:
To develop the technology of roll mills and rolling technology and further study the mechanism of tension on the strip shape, three-dimensional deformation of the rolling piece should be analyzed. In this paper, the boundary element method is established dealing with three-dimensional elasto-plastic problem and a simulation system of cold strip rolling has been developed. Variation of three-dimensional deformation of strip under different forth and back tension can be obtained. The results show that enhanced tension restricts lateral flow, enhances deformation in thickness direction, and makes outgo thickness more uniform. It demonstrates the validity and effectiveness of our developed boundary element simulation on rolling problems.
