Abstract:

This paper employed the quasi-coupled rigid-plastic FEM with thermal FEM for calculating the strain, stress and temperature fields of billet in cross rolling process, which can promote the precision of FEM simulation and provide scientific basis for the analysis of plug and rollers wearability. Through experiments about temperature of rollers and plug, it is evident that theoretical results well agree with experimental ones in tendency.
