Abstract:

Based on springback principle of minimum potential energy for straight beam bending, solving formula of the finite element method for calculating springback of straight beam bending was established, the finite element method program was compiled for calculating springback of straight beam bending, the beam was applied single point load. The calculated results of the program were contrasted with the results of three\|point bend experiment. From the comparison of the results, it is concluded that finite element method for calculating springback of straight beam bending is right. It is a new method to calculate the springback of straight beam bending.
