Abstract:
This paper elaborates the new generation of artificial intelligence application into the engineering fields--Knowledge\|Based Engineering. The illustration mainly focuses on five topics: (1) Background of advent of KBE, (2)Essential of KBE, (3) Key technologies (i e.: knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation/modeling, knowledge\|based reasoning and knowledge management), (4)Structure of KBE systems,(5)Significance of implementing KBE technologies. Finally, an auto panel stamping die is selected as a case to show how the knowledge\|based stamping die design is realized.
