Abstract:
It is a key and difficult point for sheet metal digital incremental forming to produce straight-wall parts directly. According to the general mechanism of sheet metal digital incremental forming, a method is introduced to form the straight-wall parts successfully. In this paper, the straight-wall parts' forming process is studied by means of experiments, in order to know how the straight-wall is formed and how to control the forming process.
