Abstract:
A fuzzy sets approach for the recognition of stamping features is introduced in this paper to satisfy the need of feature recognition in the intelligent die design systems.This method is applicable for recognizing the features which can be determined by the Boolean operations of some factors.The first step of this approach is to blur all the factors.Secondly,the appropriate fuzzy set operators of intersection and union are selected to implement the specific aggregation of fuzzy sets.Finally,the features can be recognized by creating a λ set of the aggregation.The details of calculation are demonstrated by an example of recognizing the cantilevers and slots.Compared with the traditional methods,this approach agrees better with the practical situation of engineering and is more convenient for calculation.
