Abstract:
The thick-wall shell-shape part has a strong resistance in the process of hot shell nosing,so the die life is low during the process of production resulting from the friction by part. The FEM software DEFORM is used to numerical simulation of this process by mechanical analysis. Finally, top die after optimization is used to avoid the stress concentration in surface of die by reducing the enter-die angle during process of forming. The life of die after optimization is obviously increased by process test.
