Abstract:
The forming process of car differential half axle gear was analyzed and an assumption was put forward to forge the gear blank by cold rotary forging.The deformation process was also simulated with Finite Element Method software-DEFORM.Under the circumstance of instantaneous state of deformation and mechanical environment visual,the regularity of metal flow,strain-stress distribution,and rational load were obtained.The simulation results show that filling condition is ideal when rotary angle is set as 1.5°,rotate speed as 25.13 rad·s-1,feed speed as 5 mm·s1,and the blank as solid with a ladder.It is feasible to form the high precision car bevel gear by cold rotary forging.
