Abstract:
How to measure the frictional coefficient between sheet blank and die quantificationally by experiments is still a problem for the research work on sheet metal forming.After analyzing the deformation behaviors of sheet blank during sheet metal forming process,a new tribotest method was put forward to measure the frictional coefficient in die corner zones and the corresponding tribotest device was designed and produced.The deformation behaviors of circumferential shrinking and thickening were taken into account during sheet metal forming process in the design of device and the developed tribotest device could be used to measure dynamically the frictional coefficient in die corner zones under both room temperature and heated conditions.The tribotest results indicate that the developed tribotest device not only is of high sensitivity,repetitiveness and convenience,but also supplies experimental approach and device to further research on the law of the frictional coefficient varying with the technological parameter in sheet metal forming.
