Abstract:
Shovel tooth is a general part of engineering machine and it is very difficult to be forged because the part shape is complicated.But it can be solved effectively by a combined forging method.The special feature of combined forging process was introduced,and then taking the standard tooth workpiece as an example,combined with the production practice and using the combined forging process,the process limitation of forging the shovel tooth was solved.During the forming process,the workpiece was easy come into disadvantages of folding and unfilling.Its detail methods are as follows: first,it solved the material distribution of the part by reasonable design of preformed part shape,second,it overcome the fold and no efficient fill by increment forming method and finally the complicated shaped shovel tooth was forged successfully by the combined forging.Thus,the objective of volume production was implemented.
